Following the acquisition of Enterprise Ventures by Mercia in 2016 Enterprise Ventures has now rebranded to Mercia Fund Managers.
Since the acquisition of Enterprise Ventures by Mercia eighteen months ago, the Group has continued to focus its efforts on building its regional presence across the UK; during that time we have been appointed to manage more than £108.0million of new venture capital and loan funds by the British Business Bank (through the Northern Powerhouse Investment Funds), we have opened new offices in Sheffield, Leeds and Birmingham and we have successfully scaled the Group to now more than 65 employees.
Because of the continued growth, we feel that now is the right time to bring the Group under one brand – Mercia. The Enterprise Ventures track record has been instrumental in getting us to where we are now but, following an intensive period of integration, we are coming together under one identity. From October, Mercia’s fund management subsidiaries, which include Enterprise Ventures, EV Business Loans and Mercia Fund Management, will be known collectively as Mercia Fund Managers.
The legal names of the fund management companies and the client funds managed by Enterprise Ventures will not change but, from 3rd October 2017, our market-facing approach will share the identity of our parent company.
The business and our teams will continue working as they have always done in executing the mandates of our client funds. Our commitment to supporting SMEs with venture, growth and debt capital remains steadfast and we would also like to reassure you of our continued commitment to the relationships that we have already established with you and our other stakeholders.
